During summer, I took part in a competition for ‘student illustrator’ organized by the Directorate for Learning & Assessment Programmes. A story was sent to us and I had to illustrate it, keeping in mind both the story and the audience. The competition was a great opportunity for me as I always wished to illustrate stories for a publication. I had fun preparing the drawing, I learned many new drawing skills and had lots of fun coming up with ideas. When I read the story, I really got into it which made me understand it much better and gave me more of an idea for my illustration. I really enjoyed participating in this competition, and I would love to participate in future competitions.
