Emma Briffa, is fourteen years old and attends Our Lady Immaculate School. She started singing when she was 7 years old. Emma likes dancing and studies musical theatre. It was always her dream to participate in the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She worked hard and is thrilled to be one of the 12 finalists this year. Emma’s song is called “My Angel’s Calling” and it is about her Grandma, Emmanuela (LELA) who passed away 15 years before Emma was born, when she was just 32. Emma got to know her grandma through the stories she heard from her parents and relatives. They often mention that Emma and Lela act in the same way. Emma always wears her grandma’s necklace close to her heart. This song is very special to Emma and her family and she is sure that her grandma is very proud of her.
